The NV70 offers HEPA filtration and Shark’s Anti-Allergen technology. This keeps dust and dirt locked in the device once it’s sucked in. The anti-allergy system also helps keep the surrounding air healthier. This is ideal if anyone at home is susceptible to allergies or has asthma.

We also like that the unit works well on wood and bare floors as well as carpets. It comes with a brushroll that can be shut off when not being used on carpeting or rugs. This keeps your more delicate floors safe from scratches.

The unit is designed to be a pet vacuum. It comes with good suction power capable of handling this. The power also makes it ideal for homes with thicker carpeting.

What we love most about the unit is its adjustable height. A switch at the bottom of the device lets you manually select the height of the vacuum. This lets you clean both bare and carpet floors effectively and safely.

You can bring the height up when cleaning high pile rugs and carpets. Then turn on the brush roller to make cleaning more efficiently. For more delicate surfaces like hardwood or laminate, just turn off the brushroll and bring down the height to keep the suction closer to the ground.

The NV22S looks a bit bulky but is about a pound lighter than the NV70. Like the NV70, it comes with a good length hose for above the ground cleaning. The hose is also handy because it lets you attach various tools to it. Among them are:

We find it ironic considering the unit has the capability of handling large homes. Plus, pet hair often fills up the dirt cup fast. A larger dirt container would have been nice.
